INTRODUCTION:

WORLD PANGRATION ATHLIMA CHAMPIONSHIP is the highest level competition of the PANGRATION sport.

It is held every 2 years, in the following 7 Disciplines and Age Categorie:

PALAISMATA – women, men, mix: 12 – 14, 15 – 17, 18 – 20, +21, +35

POLYDAMAS – women, men, mix: 18 – 20, +21, +35

VENUE

The Stadium where the 10th WORLD PANGRATION ATHLIMA CHAMPIONSHIP 2024 will be held is the Sala Sporturilor ,,Constantin Jude” (Sala Olimpia).

It is in located in Timişoara, Aleea F. C. Ripensia, nr. 7

3.               

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

The event organisers (or any of its officials or members) will not be liable or responsible for any personal injury.

Coaches and team leaders ensure that all participants are physically fit, prepared, and capable of coping with the tournament.

We strongly recommend proper medical and accident insurance. Competitors compete at their own risk.

Each National Federation is responsible for its competitors (the control of nonpregnancy, as well as the gender control are placed under the responsibility of the National Federations) and must assume all responsibility for accidents and health insurance, as well as the civil liabilities for their competitors and officials,  during  the  10th                                    WORLD PANGRATION ATHLIMA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024

The organizer of the 10th                                            WORLD PANGRATION ATHLIMA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024, FRPA and WPAF will not be held responsible for any insurance related to the abovementioned matters.

The organizer of the 10th                                            WORLD PANGRATION ATHLIMA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024, FRPA and WPAF has no liability for any claims of injury, accident, illnesses or death arising within or outside the competition, and travelling or other activities in connection with the event.

4.                

PARTICIPATION & FEES

Participation fee of 150 € for each athlete, for all 5 fight disciplines.

Palaismata team fee are 50 €

Polydamas team fee are 100 €

Late entry and late payment fees will be applied:

–     change (of an injured) competitor until registration deadline: free

–     change (of an injured) competitor after registration deadline (in the same category):  25 €                                                         

–     change the category of an athlete:   25 €

–      late entry:   50 €/competitor

–      additional entering of a competitor on site:  75 €

5.                 COVID-19 PROTOCOL

There is no Covid-19 protocol for the sports events in Romania and we will not ask from the participants to show rapid tests.

If there is any change the National Federations will be informed by official letter of WPAF.

6.                 COMPETITION RULES

The competition will be conducted in accordance with the latest WPAF Competition Rules and WPAF Referees Rules.

6.1             Draw modus

The seeding and draw–in–bock will be made on 22 October at 18:00 Immediately after the draw has been finalised, the categories will be made

available online.

Seeding regulations of the WPAF will be observed.

For the seeding, WPAF will use the world ranking list and registration for the event from 1st of August 2024

The NPAO’s are responsible for making sure all points are correct in the

ranking list until this day.

7.  RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE AND CATEGORIES

The National Federations / Associations may enter only two athletes / team on each category.

For Veterans & ParaPangration there is no limits of competitors.

Age: Participating athletes must be born in 2012 and before.

Categories for ParaPangration will be, in the order of age and weight category:

1.                 ParaPangration for Hearing impaired,

2.                 ParaPangration for Blind (visually impaired)

3.                 ParaPangration for people with Down Syndrome

4.                 ParaPangration for Cognitively impaired athletes.

Team competitions will be organized for these categories, depending on registration.

8.                 WEIGH – IN

The official weigh–in will be done electronical at the stadium on 24 of October, at 18:00 (see the program).

It will be possible to do an unofficial weigh–in.

Multiple weighing scales will be provided for the athletes to test their weight within the training / warm-up area at the stadium.

Control of weigh–in shall be the responsibility of the FRPA, Technical Committee in collaboration with WPAF.

Athletes must present their official passport or ID card at the official weigh–

in.

Competitors who do not meet these criteria will not be allowed to participate.

9.                 COMPETITION DRESSING AND PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS & ADVERTISING, ENDYMA CONTROL & BACK NUMBER

Only approved Endyma: Competitors must wear an WPAF approved endyma, white and blue color, without labels or patches.

The control shall be the responsibility of the FRPA Technical Committee in collaboration with WPAF.

Competitors who do not meet these criteria will not be allowed to participate.

Back numbers will be given to all national federation to be sewed on the official Endyma at venue.

For that, please send us a list with all athletes who participate in Imiepafis, Kato and Agon.

Please ensure to have the correct Endyma.

Please note that during the Championship, no numbers on the back of the Endyma are allowed unless specified by the organiser.

Back numbers from                 previous tournaments must be removed from the Endyma.

PARTICULAR RULES FOR WOMEN

Female contestants shall wear under the Chiton either a round necked plain white or off–white t–shirt, with short sleeves, made of non-rigid material, long enough to be worm inside the trousers, or a plain white or off–white leotard with short sleeves.

No marking should be visible when the Chiton is done up. All other regulations must be adhered to.

10.            HELLANODIKES

Each country should provide minimum 1 Hellanodike for 6 participants, 2 for 7 to 14 participants and 3 for more than 15 participants.

A penalty fee of 100 € per referee will be requested for not having the correct number of referees, as stated above, and collected by the organizer on the spot (this is a mandatory condition to participate in the draw).

The Romanian Pangration Athlima Federation will cover hospitality for 1 Hellanodike/referee from the National Federation that have 6 athletes, 2 Hellanodikes/referees if the National Federation that have 7 to 14 athletes, 3 Hellanodikes/referees if the National Federation that have 15 athletes and more.

Hotel bookings for referees must be included within the booking of the delegation from the national federation.

All referees must attend the referee meetings before start of competition (each day).

Attention: only the referees selected and qualified by WPAF Referee Committee may participate as referees at these championships.

In order to be selected, each Hellanodikes must participate in at least four international internships organized by FRPA (at least one physically, the rest online) between 02–04.02.2024, 28–30.06.2024, 05–07.07. 2024, 23.08–01.09.2024,

22–23 10.2024

Neither the organizing committee nor the WPAF will be held responsible for not respecting this obligation!

A maximum of 30 selected Hellanodikes will have accommodation and meals provided by the organizer (full book) for 5 days.

However, if there won’t be enough referees for the competition to take place in proper conditions, WPAF may decide to complement the pool of referees with national referees of the organizing federation (decided by WPAF Referee Committee).

11.            COACHING

a.                 Only one coach, with accreditation, who stays at the limit of the contest area during the match seated on a designated coach chair, may assist contestants.

b.                 If the coach exhibits misbehavior towards the athletes, the referee, the audience or anyone else, the referees or head referee may decide to make him leave the area reserved to the officials for the duration of the match.

c.                  If the misbehavior continues, the referees or head referee of the match may decide to make him leave the official area for the whole tournament.

Coaches must behave in accordance with the WPAF organization rules.

12.            ANTI-DOPING CONTROL

There will be anti-doping control, conducted by the official anti-doping authority.

The WADA has published the Prohibited list that will be in forced from 1/1/2024

13.            VISAS

The organizer will help any country with obtaining visa for athletes and

officials.

For nations who need visa to enter Romania, please send to the organizer as soon as possible (latest date – 15th of June) a list of participants with full names, passport numbers, date of birth, and functions (athlete, coach, official, doctor etc.) using the visa application form.

14.            ACCOMMODATION AND TRAVEL PACKAGE

14.1         ACCOMMODATION-TRANSPORTATION

The Romanian Pangration Athlima Federation will offer full hospitality to an official from each National Federation.

The hotels of the accommodation of the delegations are near to the Venue, Olimpia Hall, and the details of the accommodations and all the terms and all conditions describes in the following proposal:

Accommodation price for one person, at **** hotels:

5 nights               –             600 €

4 nights               –             475 €

3 nights               –             355 €

2 nights               –             355 €

The afore mentioned prices include:

–                    All the hotel taxes;

–                    Hotels near Venue, Olimpia Hall;

–                    3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) at hotel;

–                    Transportation from and to the Timişoara airport by busses;

–                    Assistant Staff for the services of the participants.

Timisoara can also be reached through Belgrade, Budapest and Cluj Napoca airports, but this will lead to additional costs, and, the federations that will choose these airports will ensure their own expenses related to the trip to Timisoara.

We will do our best to find a transport, but there will be additional costs, depending on the number of people in the delegation.

All damages to all the property of the hotels and guest houses or venues resulting from the stay of a national delegations shall be charged to the federation and will be paid in full.

Terms and conditions:

We are not guaranteeing the availability of the hotels if the delegations will not book until 2nd of September 2024

Notes:

All the Delegations must arrive not late than 24th of October 2024

The time and the disciplines that will be held each day will be announced after the registration of the athletes by each National Federation.

The registration of the officials, athletes, coaches and referees will be done via internet in the competition platform www.sportdata.org, each National Federation has to send their agreement in order to get a unique passcode to enter in the platform.

Afterwards the draw and announce of the categories no one allowed to add or to remove athletes.

Delegations missing the registration deadline will not be allowed to participate.

The deadline for athletes entry is Monday 2nd of September 2024

14.2         TERMS OF PAYMENT

The 50% of the amount must be paid until the 10th of August 2024 (in case of cancelation after the 10th of August there is not refund)

The payment of the remain amount of 50% must be paid by the 2nd of September 2024

The payment must be done in the bank account of Romanian Pangration Athlima Federation.

The name of your federation must be added in order to receive the invoice. Along with your payment you have to send the enclosed list to:

CANCELATION

The National Federations that will not choose the aforementioned package are responsible for their accommodation–board and local transportation.

In this case, a penalty of 150 € will be charged for each participant of the delegation.

The organizer is not responsible for providing any assistance.

15.            MEETING OF OFFICIALS

A maximum of two people per country, may attend the Meeting.

The Meeting is scheduled on 23 th of October at 18:00pm

16.            FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE

All National Federations, officials, coaches and athletes participating in the World Championship have to respect and accept the authority of the WPAF and local officials, the statutes, the sports and organization rules, the refereeing rules of the international federation, as well as the WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) rules.

18.            AWARDING CEREMONY

The medal ceremonies will consist of the following:

–                    flags (first to third) and national anthem of the winning athlete’ s/team’ s nation

–                    Photo opportunity for the accredited media

During the medal presentations, accreditation must be temporarily removed and handed over to the coordinator of the awarding ceremony.

There will be one WPAF official and one official of the local organizers to coordinate the awarding ceremony.

The athletes will be escorted to the awarding ceremony podium and will stand behind the podium according to the following order: 2nd place, 1st place, and the 3rd place athletes.

Participants in the awarding ceremony may not have any flags, mascots, shoes, flipflops, socks, caps, head cover or any unnecessary clothing or other items on them during the ceremony.

No kind of demonstration or political, religious, commercial or racial propaganda is permitted during the awarding ceremony.

Athletes must present themselves at awarding ceremony only in Endyma. Please note that no athletes, other than those who are part of the ceremony,

may participate in the awarding ceremony.

BEST ATHLETE

FRPA will reward the most technical athlete with a most technical athlete Trophy to a participant of the World Championship (athlete) for recognized outstanding technical prowess and a flawless display of sportsmanlike behavior and etiquette, beyond expectation and demands of the rules.

FAIR PLAY

FRPA will award a Fair Play Trophy to a participant of the World Championship (athlete, coach, referee, technical crew, team official etc.) for recognized outstanding ethical or sportsmanlike behavior, beyond expectation and demands of the rules.
