The World Pangration Athlima Federation (WPAF) are organizing the 6^th World Pangration Athlima Championship 2014 which will be held from 24^th of October to 28^th  of October 2014, in Istanbul, Turkey, it will be hosted by the International Federation Martial Arts Festival (IFMAF).

• The duration of the bouts are in the following way:
•  PANGRATION AGON SEMI CONTACT:  for Adults – 3 minutes

Important Notes

• All the delegations must arrive at Turkey on 24^th  of October 2014 and depart on 28^th of  October 2014
• The Organizing Committee has the right to modify the competition program and let the teams know about in time   
• All the delegations must keep the deadlines for the Championship’s  smooth contact

 

A. PARTICIPATION

 

1. The National Federations – Associations may enter their athletes base on the weight category and age division. Please note that each national federation/association may enter as many athletes as possible.

 

1. Each competitor must have both valid passport and identity card. All athletes must submit valid passport copy, health declaration document attested by the certified MD.

 

1. The athletes who use medicines for the medical purposes, they have to submit valid and attested medical prescription to the Medical Committee of the 4^TH World Martial Arts Festival 2014 otherwise WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) rules will be final reference for the required punishments

 

1. Athletes competing in the Championship are under the exclusive responsibility of their National Federations.

 

1. The delegations must bring and present to the Competition Committee a C.D. with their National anthem as well as two national flags.

1. The delegations’ first confirmation must be sent before 8^th September 2014 and last confirmation 24^th September 2014 at This email address is being protected from spambots. 1. The participation fee is 30 euro for each Athlete; this must be pained to the W.P.A.F.  

 

1. The delegations will be welcomed by the IFMAF in the Instanbul Ataturk Airport  (International Airport) and they will be driven to their Hotel.

 

B. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. The rules of competition shall be as per the WPAF Rules of competition. All national coaches must ensure that their athletes are to be properly trained under these rules and must have full knowledge of these rules in order to be eligible to participate in the World championship.

2. Each Pangratiast must wear the approved competition uniform that is White large long-sleeve reaching down to the hips and Blue pants reaching down to the ankles. A meander stripe shall appear around the shirt’s neckline and the outside the pants.

 

3. All athletes must wear Pangration fighting Gloves as approved by the WPAF Either in white color for (lefkos) or blue color for (kianous).

 

4. All athletes who participate in the Pleris Agon must wear helmet, shin guards and protection of the lips.

 

5. All athletes must wear Groin Guards. Female pagratiasts are allowed to wear a chest protective and/or a white t-shirt under their uniform.

 

6. Each participant country must have only one (1) Hellanodikis (Referee)  who must be certified by WPAF as International Hellanodikis(Referee)

 

1. All International Hellanodikis (Referees) must be attired in red hitonio and red periskelida andwhite sport shoes. The Hellanodikis (Referrees) have to carry their ravdos (Stick) to the palestra (mat), also they have to wear Blue wrist band on Right hand and white wrist band on left hand to clearly indicate Kianous and Lefkos scoring.
   1.  Proponites (coaches) will be attired in their National Pangration Track suit and white sport shoes. Only the coaches of the national teams are allowed to be present near the palestra (mat) when their athletes compete. 
   2. No one is allowed to complaint or demonstrate his/her objection on the completion area in public. Complainants have to submit their written objection to the jury and follow the necessary procedures of  the 4^TH World Martial Arts Festival 2014    

 

C. Weigh-in

1. The weigh-in of the athletes will take place before the games. It is the responsibility of weigh-in officials to complete the weigh-in within the specified time.
2. Weigh-in is only done once and the athletes that make weight have to wear only their endyma (Pangration Uniform).
3. When an athlete does not make weight of his / her specified weight category owing to being underweight or overweight 100+- gr. s/he will be transferred to the closest  weight category accordingly.

• The Competition Committee of WPAF can exclude anyone from event who does not comply with the official rules of W.P.A.F., the present proclamation as well as with the IFMAF’s Proclamation.

D. AWARDS

Awards will be given to each individual winner: 1^st place  Gold medal, certificate 2^nd place Silver medal, certificate, Two 3^rd places     Bronze medal, certificate

The national anthem will be played for each individual and team champion.

1. ACCOMODATION

The financial package is as following:

A)    225 euro, for each participant for four(4) nights, in this cost included hotel with breakfast and dinner, transportation from the airport to hotel and transportation from hotel to stadium and returns, this  must be pained to the IFMAF 

 

2. VISA – INVITATIONS

The delegation which need visa-invitation to enter Turkey must send the enclosed visa application form to IFMAF at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. before 24^th September 2014 the IFMAF will take care of issuing official invitation letters. Past that date the  IFMAF  will not be able to provide any visa support.
