PROCLAMATION 3RD EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP 2013, VERIA, CENTRAL MACEDONIA, GREECE

The European Union of Pangration (EUPA), in collaboration with the Hellenic Pangration Athlima Federation is organizing the 3rd European Pangration Athlima Championship under the auspices of the World Pangration Athlima Federation. 

EVENT CATEGORIES

«PANGRATION AGON IMIEPAFIS (SEMI CONTACT)»: Individual Competition, The duration of the bout for Cadets – 2 minutes, for Juniors – 2 minutes and for   Adults – 3 minutes

«AGON EPAFIS  (FULL CONTACT)»: Individual Competition

The duration of the bout for Cadets – 3 minutes, for Juniors – 4 minutes and for Adults 5 minutes

«PLERIS AGON»: Individual Competition

 

The duration of the bout for Adults 5 minutes

« POLYDAMAS »: Team Demo – Event

ALL THE PARTICIAPNTS DELEGATIONS MUST BE AT VERIA ON 14TH OF NOVEMBER 2013

PLEASE KEEP THE DEADLINES FOR THE SMOOTH RUNNING OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

A. PARTICIPATION

  1. The National Federations – Associations may enter  as many athletes as possible.
  2. Each competitor must have both valid passport and identity card.
  1. Athletes competing in the Championship are under the exclusive responsibility of their National Federations-Associations.
  1. The delegations must bring and present to the Competition Committee a C.D. with their National anthem as well as two national flags. 
  1. The enclosed participation form must be send to the H.P.A.F. at ( info@pangration.orgno later than 28/10/2013.
  1. The final list of competitors will be confirmed on 1st November 2013 in order to ensure a smooth weigh in and draw procedure.

7. The delegations will be welcomed by a representative of the H.P.A.F. upon their arrival in the Macedonia Airport and they will be driven to their Hotel.

B. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS – ATHLETES – HELLANODIKES (REFEREES) – PROPONITES (COACHES)

ATHLETES

1. The rules of competition shall be as per the WPAF Rules of competition. All national coaches must ensure that their athletes are to be properly trained under these rules and must have full knowledge of these rules in order to be eligible to participate in the World championship.

2. Each Pangratiast must wear the approved competition uniform (endyma) that is: white large long-sleeve reaching down to the hips and Blue pants reaching down to the ankles. A meander stripe shall appear around the shirt’s neckline and the outside the pants. Only the members of the national teams are allowed to stick the flags of their countries on their shoulders.

3. All athletes must wear Pangration fighting Gloves as approved by the WPAF Either in white color for (lefkos) or blue color for (kianous).

4. All athletes who participate in the Pleris Agon must wear helmet, shin guards and protection of the lips.

5. All athletes must wear Groin Guards. Female pagratiasts are allowed to wear a chest protective and/or a white t-shirt under their uniform.

6. Athletes born in 1996 and over are not permitted to take part in the Pleri Agon.

    Athletes born in 2000 and over are not permitted to take part in the Championship.

HELLANODIKES (REFEREES)

7. Each participant country must have only one (1)  Hellanodikis (Referee)  who must be certified by WPAF as International Hellanodikis(Referee). The HPAF will cover the cost of the Accommodation for four (4) nights with full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner), Local transportation (to and from the airport) for a Hellanodiki (Referee) from each country.

8. All International Hellanodikes (Referees) must be  attired in red hitonio and red periskelida andwhite sport shoes. The Hellanodikis (Referrees) have to carry their ravdos (Stick) to the palestra (mat), also they have to wear Blue wrist band on Right hand and white wrist band on left hand to clearly indicate Kianous and Lefkos scoring.

PROPONITES (COACHES)

9. Proponites (coaches) will be attired in their National Pangration Track suit and white sport shoes. Only the coaches of the national teams are allowed to be present near the palestra (mat) when their athletes compete.  

C. Weigh-in

1. The weigh-in of the athletes will take place before the games. It is the responsibility of weigh-in officials to complete the weigh-in within the specified time.
2. Weigh-in is only done once and the athletes that make weight have to wear only their endyma (Pangration Uniform).
3. When an athlete does not make weight of his / her specified weight category owing to being underweight or overweight 100+- gr. s/he will be transferred to the closest  weight category accordingly.

D. AWARDS

Awards will be given to each individual winner:

1st place      Gold medal, certificate

2nd place     Silver medal, certificate

Two 3rd places     Bronze medal, certificate

The national anthem will be played for each individual and team champion.

  • The Competition Committee can exclude any one from event who does not comply with the official rules of W.P.A.F. and the present proclamation.

E. GENERAL INFORMATION

The European Pangration Championship will be held in the city of Veria, Macedonia

1. ACCOMODATION – PARTICIPATION FEE- LOCAL TRASPORTATION  

  • The package for the Athletes costs 220 euro in which include:

Accommodation for four nights with full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Local transportation (to and from the airport)

Participation fee (for all styles of Pangration)

  • The package for the escorts costs 170 euro in which include:

Accommodation for four nights with full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Local transportation (to and from the airport)

2. VISAS – INVITATIONS

The delegation which need visa-invitation to enter Italy must send their visa application form to Hellenic Federation at ( info@pangration.org) before 10 October 2013, The Hellenic Federation will take care of fixing official invitation letters. Past that date the H.P.A.F will not be able to provide any visa support.
